Shipping & duties
Delivery times, costs, and why you never pay customs.
How long does delivery take?
Every listing shows an arrival window before you buy, for example “Arrives Oct 12–15”. It combines the maker's handling time with the carrier's transit time, counted in business days.
- From US sellers: usually 3–7 business days.
- From African sellers: usually 8–14 business days by economy, 4–8 by express (DHL, Aramex, FedEx).
The promised dates are stored on your order. If a maker can't ship on time, you get a notice with the option to cancel for a full refund.
What does shipping cost?
Each maker sets their own rates, and many offer free shipping above a threshold. The exact cost appears on the product page and in your cart before checkout. Items from the same maker ship together at the combined rate.
Why don't I pay customs or duties?
Angasugu ships African orders Delivered Duty Paid (DDP). Import duties and brokerage are calculated and paid by us before the parcel leaves. The price you see is the price you pay — no bill from the carrier, no visit to the post office.
Every listing records the country of origin and the customs classification (HS code), so clearance is routine.
Tracking
A tracking number is emailed as soon as the maker ships, and your order page updates with carrier scans. For international parcels the first scan can take 24–48 hours to appear.
